Expand your pilot’s
skill and discover new feelings. Try the HELICOPTER !
This is a real new challenge for
most of us and I decided to open a new Special Operations Section
dealing with rotorcrafts.
I suggest to all SPA pilots
interested by rotorcrafts to visit the web site of HOVERCONTROL HELICOPTER FLIGHT SIMULATION
at:
http://www.hovercontrol.com/
Helicopters are possibly much more fun than many heavy jets people are
used to flying, but for some reason they are simply skipped or forgotten
by most. It is a truly unique experience to fly one of them above a
beautiful landscape, simulate a rescue, fire and medical emergency or
have some fun transporting virtual passengers.
The reasons simmers
present for preferring a fixed-wing aircraft over a rotative-wing
aircraft can vary: some find them boring, some find them difficult to
fly and some haven't even tried them. This SPA helicopter department is
for all people who are willing to give rotorheads a try and discover
this amazing new experience!

You'll enjoy breathtaking views of the coast,
oceans and cliffs as you fly along the coast.
California North
Coast
The region's Pacific Ocean coast stretches from San Francisco Bay northwards to
Humboldt Bay and on to the border of Oregon. The coastline is often
inaccessible, and includes rocky cliffs and hills, streams and tide pools.
The southern
portion of the North Coast is largely urbanized while the rest is mostly rural.
The more remote northern areas are often referred to as the being located
"behind the Redwood Curtain. Notable seaside beaches can be found at Marin
Headlands and Point Reyes National Seashore in the south, with innumerable
examples of remote or less used beaches north of the SF Bay Area.
The grandeur of
the redwoods can be experienced from Muir Woods National Monument in the south
to Humboldt Redwoods State Park and the Avenue of the Giants in the north.
California
Central Coast
The region is
known primarily for agriculture and tourism. Major crops include lettuce,
strawberries, and artichokes. The Salinas Valley is one of the most fertile
farming regions in the United States. Tourist attractions include Cannery Row
in Monterey, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the theatres, galleries and white sand
beaches of Carmel-by-the-Sea, the golf courses of Pebble Beach and the Monterey
Peninsula, the rugged coastline of Big Sur and Hearst Castle in San Simeon.
The area is not
densely populated. The largest city in the region is Salinas, with
approximately 150,000 people. University of California campuses are found in
Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara, on the extreme north and south edges of the
region respectively. California State University, Monterey Bay, founded in
1994, uses facilities donated when Fort Ord was converted from military to
civilian uses. California Polytechnic State University, in San Luis Obispo, was
founded in 1901.
California South Coast
The South Coast
is a term used in the West Coast region of the United States to refer to both
the south Pacific Coast of California and the adjacent resort and residential
communities.
It refers for
the most part to the Southern California coastal counties of Los Angeles,
Orange, and San Diego due to the cosmopolitan "SoCal" atmosphere and
location of major urban coastal centres. Of these counties only the western two
thirds of San Diego, most of Los Angeles and all of Orange are included.
However, some
sources include the coastal half of Ventura, western part of Riverside, and south
western part of San Bernardino Counties because of their proximity to the
Pacific Coast and because they are in the same bio-region and watershed.
