NOTAM – Special Operations Standard Procedures
- Generally speaking, Special Operations are open to all SPA pilots, of any rank.
- Prior to flying any special operations flight, all pilots should have
completed their ONE required assigned flight for the month (exception:
Fleet Captains who do not have assigned flights).
-
A pilot may only fly a flight with an aircraft corresponding to the
category he is qualified for. Permission from his regular hub
Manager should be obtained to fly a higher category of aircraft whilst
flying a Special Ops flight.
-
Flight hours are only valid if the correct category of aircraft is used. Exception, see point 3 above.
-
Any question concerning Special Operations should be addressed directly
to the SOP manager (sopmanager@stpaulairlines.com).
- PIREP must be
logged immediately after completing the flight or through FSACARS.
- It is always possible to do a set of SOP flights backwards, starting with the last flight first. In this case, file the PIREP with an R at the end as in 9######R
- Most important: have fun!
