To suppress unattractive bare bands under electric lines.
1. Open (with note pad) the file in the main FSX directory
2. Search section [Texture.201]
3. Find the line LandClassRemapType=utility
4. Replace <utility> by >none

5. Do the same thing in section [Texture.202]

To keep FSX in full shape with great fps response.
It is extremely important to defragment the disk after loading add-ons (aircrafts, sceneries, etc.)
There is an excellent and quick free defragmenter available on the net: JKDEFRAG.
Have a look at: http://www.kessels.com/JkDefrag/
I use it with VISTA almost every day and each time I add some complement to FSX. It is really easy to use (automatic), quick, safe and efficient). I can really recommend it.

Excellent tips Yoland.

The first tip is a must for all the FSX users. I don't know why MS screwed that up so bad that the power lines look like un-graveled road and did not bother to fix it in its service packs.

Thanks again Yoland, you are the best.

Here is what it fixes: ( I found these two pics from Paul's album)

Look on the right side where the power line tower is. You see this thick ugly green line joining the towers.

Same thing here on the left hand side:

Yoland's fix resolves that. Any question, please feel free to post here.

Looks like we have not mentioned the file name to edit.

Filename: terrain.cfg
under main FSX folder.
