Completion of Iceland Schedule

Unregistered User Just finished the 20 flight circumnavigation of the lovely Island of Iceland. Longest leg was 143nm, some were as short as 15. Iceland's rugged topography makes direct flights somewhat difficult, so many flights were along the coastline and ducking into fjords to find the landing strip. Most of the strips were gravel. The scenery was gorgeous, thanks to ORBX and their free demo of their full up scenery. This includes the wire mesh, the Global add-on, the Vector add-on and the LandClass add-on, which hasn't been released yet. I can't say how much this improves the basic FSX scenery. It truly makes this a whole new sim, it is that good. It was incredible enough that I went out and bought the global and vector add-ons, they work wonders for the east coast of Georgia as well. Thanks to Steve Sellmeyer for this amazing tour of Iceland, I had no idea it was so beautiful or big. Quite an incredible trip...now off to Australia. Thanks to SPA for setting these trips up for us; they have renewed my enjoyment of Flight Simming!!

I am very happy if you enjoyed this Iceland trip.Steve Sellmeyer had to leave SPA for professional reasons and I miss him very much as he was a very precious and motivated contributor to the Special and Bush Ops departments.
Anyway, amon all the missions available in these two departments, I am convinced that you will find a lot of interesting programs. Our USA Seaplane tour, for instance, will manage to bring you to those remote places for amphibians planes that usualy one forget to visit. But there are so many other choice ! Have fun !
