Hey Vic,

What is the error? I was getting a program fault error and had to delete the program and reinstall it...after that it works great.

Unregistered User This might be my bad, but... I installed & configured FSACARS per the deflections, and it seemed to be okay. I flew Flt 1415 with it and all looked fine. BUT...when I got to the end, FSACARS said it was running, but I couldn't pull the window up to send it. I shut FS down, and the log file seems to have vanished. I'd written everything down, so filed the PIREP manually. I'll assume it was my error and try it again. If anyone has insights, feel free to share, please!

If using FSACARS with FSX, I've found, or been taught by Naresh I should say that I need to enter the flight info manually...Then start log. That works for me.

It doesnt save that much work when using FSX but I still like it. I like that I don't have to jot it all down, then go to our site, sign in, post all the info in the pirep. Not a big deal though...

Thanks guys for helping out Sean on his FSACARS. I have received zillions of his PIREPs (automatically submitted by FSACARS). :-D

Rev, please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any assistance in FSACARS. Trust me, once you are hooked, you would not fire up your FS without using FSACARS.

Unregistered User It looks to me from the pictures posted on how to use FSACARS that your Callsign and Pilot Number are different. Shouldn't they be the same?

No, you can enter any number for callsign, but your pilot number must be your assigned Pilot number.

It is not necessary to enter callsign in FSACARS, unless you are flying on VATSIM servers.

Hope this clears things up.

Thanks.

I highly recommend the use of FSACARS.

It is not a SPY program the way it is installed on St Paul Airlines system. It just transmit the required PIREP infos so that you do not have to fill the usual form manually, making life much easier and avoiding possible errors.

NB. Nobody in this company is paid enough to check what you are doing during the flight, and I REPEAT: FSACARS IS JUST AN AUTOMATED PIREP SYSTEM TO MAKE THINGS EASIER! It does not collect your possible mistakes while you are flying.

Yoland is absolutely correct.

While some airlines do capture Vspeeds, cruise altitude, slew mode, cruise speed, flaps etc, SPA only collects the names of the airport, aircraft type (both your entries), fuel, destination airport's weather and flight time. Just enough information for a PIREP.

Any questions, please do not hesitate to post here.

Thanks.
