FSX SP1

Gents for all you who have installed this update, you may find a difference in frame rates, but if you de-frag your hard drive you may get even more.

Sorry about this but on a good day i am getting 26-38 fps thats before the update.

Will let you know how i get on after i have installed it.

Ok, so I put in this long awaited SP1 patch for fsx and lo and behold they fixed the bridges at Toko-Ri!! Nevermind that unless you saw the movie with William Holden and Mickey Rooney...For you youngins, they were actors.

About Jerry's age I would guess.

Trivia question here....These two actors, not Jerry,,,dead or alive???

Anyway, I was lucky and the patch took, even with my few 3rd party addons, and tweaks to my config and texture folders.

Rough guess is I gained 5 to 10 FPS and no stutters.

Tried to install the 3rd party software patch but it said I already had it??? Dunno what's up there.

I have to say, I am very pleased with the patch so far...It's givin new life to my old system.

I upped the locked FPS from 17 to 21,,added airport ground traffic at MSP, water from 1 low to 2 low (which really is a big jump in itself, and still saw the increase in FPS and the terminal was there...Amazing..

Thanks for the good news gents, I havn't had a chance to load up FSX and the SP1 yet, but hope to do so in the next few evenings. I did spend a grand evening watching the baby while the wife steped out for some sanity. Is there and SP1 for child raising yet?

There is an SP1 for wee little girls, but at this time it does not address the issue of diapers, crying, spitting up, or teething. The Aces team is hard at work on an SP2 and should be out in the next few years.
